Hello, I'm Hirudika

A Third year Undergraduate at the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology

I'm currently pursuing the BSc (Hons) in Information Technogy Specialising in Computer Systems & Network Engineering degree program at SLIIT, and currently in my third year. I am facinated by the world of cloud computing and cloud technologies, and looking forward for a career associated with that path. I am an avid self learner and a dedicated person. I am always on the lookout for new things to try and new things to learn.

These include certifications gained within the university curriculum as well as certifications I completed during my own free time with the sole idea of expanding my knowledge

CCNA: Introduction to Networks

This certification was awarded for completing the Introduction to Networks course, which allowd me to learn concepts of networking such as IP addressing and configuring connectivity between switches, routers and end devices to provide access to local and remote resources

Google Cloud Essentials

This is one of the more recent paths I have started to follow, because I wanted to gain some knowledge about the Cloud solutions offered by Google

Getting Started with Docker

As I am hoping to pursue a career in the cloud computing sector, I thought of following this free course offered by Simplilearn in order to gain knowledge of the Docker containerization platform. I am looking forward to learning more about kubernetes and its various usecases in the future

Python For Beginners

Because I am following a degree program related to computer networking, we are not taught the Python programming language at the university. As it is an essential skill that we should have for the future I thought of learning python by myself. I completed this cousre on Sololearn due to that reason. I have also completed other courses on the Sololearn platform, such as SQL and Java because I belive that self-learning is an invesment we are doing on ourselves.
